Whassup with me? I am trying to get motivation to go on painting marathon, but life keeps getting in the way :( So because I have my best paintings hanging in local gallery I need to paint like mad for Pembroke in the next two weeks.... eeeeek! Have dug out a couple of older larger paintings so it looks like I have a lot - lol. Wish you could come and be with us, but then I wish I could be with you at that workshop in August... you must tell me all about it! ♥♥♥
ahh - the motivation dilemma - lol. but that's cool you have some older paintings to take with you :) you're gonna have a lot of fun and i hope your travels are safe :)
It's a nice gesture. I wish I felt that it would truly be followed. I also wonder if the same types of masking drugs that are used in humans are used in horses, and will the drug testing be random? Will the trainers and owners be prosecuted for using banned, controlled substances? I wish I could feel better about this, but I've seen how it is with people and I think in the end, money will do the talking. :-/ Yeah, it's a sore subject with me, I get so angry when people are so surprised that folks are using steroids, they are easy to obtain and mask, the organizations that are supposedly against the drugs make it so easy for the athletes to know about the testing and pass it, all with a wink and a smile, and then they say, "why yes, we are doing drug testing, no steroids here, nope, nothing to see here, move along..."
I really hope they do right by these horses, but, I'm skeptical. Not that it isn't a step in the right direction, but, are they just talk, or real action and education?
Like I said, there's a lot of money in this sport, and unfortunately, that can be a bad thing.
are you as skeptical about me being a drama queen? hehe i see what you're saying - i also would like to see this actually make the news. i found this buried on the 3rd page of this site... but the media doesn't care...
